How do I tell what zones I have already programmed into an ADT Safewatch Pro
3000?
I want to add a 5804 keyfob to activate a 4204 relay. I know how to program
the 4204 to trip on a zone, but I dont know what zones are available.
FYI, I purchased my ADT system outright. Thus if I want to have anyone work
on it I have to pay ADT an exorbitant fee, which I am not going to do.
I did not install my alarm. Therefore I do not know what zones the installer
programmed, and thus what zones are available. I have the progammers guide
for the SW 3000 and have studied it to determine all that I need to do to
configure the 4204. However, since I do not know which zones are configured,
I dont know know what value to input to program a relay for a zone.
The programmers guide does not talk about any way to scroll through the
system to see which zones are programmed and which are available to use for
the 4204 relays. Hence the reason for my question.
Also my understanding of programming a 5804 - Loop 1 to activate a relay is
as follows:
Program Loop 1 as Zone Type 23 - No Response
Program Loop 1 for Zone XX - Where Zone XX is No Response from the alarm.
Program the 4204 Relay 1 for Zone XX using both *79 and *80 preogramming
modes.
Thus when I push Loop 1 on the 5804 it activates Zone XX and trips Relay #1.
Is this correct? What zone should Zone XX be? Also, what sequence of
programming steps do I need to do to configure the 5804 Loop 1 for Zone XX?
The programming guide only talks about the 5804 pre-configured templates?
