: Attempting to install a siren on a PC5020. Temporarily using a piezo for experimentation, though the use of a siren doesn't change the inability to switch off the driving power. No success with arming or disarming the PC5020 upon entering the Master code. Anyone know why the Bell output cannot be controlled?
you will get feed back from the bell output if you are using a tophat type peizo siren, because of their design, but normaly you will not have any trouble using other type of sirens, you could have three sirens wired in with one of them being a tophat type and the tophat will be quitely cherping/sounding away until you place a 1k across it, only problem with that is you will not know if the siren has been disconnected if the 1k is installed across the bell output, over here tophats are normally use for day alarm notifcation and will normally hang off a relay.
