Smoke Detector Problem?

I have a DSC Power832 (PC5010) security system that doesn't seem to function properly anymore. The LED control panels all have both the memory and fire lights on and I can't reset them or set my alarms anymore.

Also, I noticed that one of my 2 smoke detectors (Meridian MN220, 2-Wire) has its LED on continuously while the other has an LED that blinks about every minute (and is otherwise off).

The smoke detector which is on continuously is near the kitchen and has been triggered numerous times. I suspect it is faulty and/or needs to be cleaned but I'm not sure. Is this the likely scenario???

If it does need to be cleaned, how does one do that? I tried a blow dryer but that didn't seem to do anything.

One other fact that I don't think is relevant but may be. I recently had to change the backup battery...
