Ademco 15p/Programming 5816 RF to chime on fault

: Hello all... : I have a pet door I wish to monitor whenever it is opened. I want it to keypad chime only, no alarm. : I hooked up a 5816 wireless, and assigned it to Zone 18, & Zone type 23 (No Alarm resp.) : I also entered the Zone into zone list 3, (Chime by Zone). : My problem is whenever the 5816 zone is opened,(the pet door) all I get is a "ZONE 18 Fault" at keypad. There is no audible chime association. I would like it to chime. : I have tried a few configs, no luck. : Do I need to get rid of the zone type 23 for another type, & program for zone bypass when system is armed? : Thanks : Steve C. :
