: : : : : Hello all,
: : : : : tell me please if you know, why when I trying to connect with DLS-2002 to PC1565-2P via modem the Modem and AlarmPanel connects, but after ~ 1 minute the software writes "Waiting for panel answer..." and disconnects.
: : : : : Also, my modem supported Bell 103, but I dont know are they suports 110bps connection, how I can check this?
: : : : : Thank you.
: : : : you have set the panel in direct connect mode before you attempt to connect, ie, [*][8]
: : : [installer code][499][installer code][499] then try connecting via PC Link/direct connect
: : : Yes, of course.
: : : But now the DLS Software connecting to alarm panel, detecting the panel type and version, and after few seconds answers that "modem is not responding", and the connection is aborted...
: : : I try to connect to the alarm panel via Terminal Emulator, it's connecting, writing Panel Id, and modem returns NO CARRIER signal, but alarm panel is stay on-line, and transmitt data... Is this a modem problem?
: : : Thanks
: : why are you using a modem to direct connect??? direct connecting does not require a modem, thats the whole point, in the setup options in DLS 2002 you need to set it up so that whatever coms port you are using is set for direct connect and not to use a modem, if you wanted to communicate remotely to a panel at another site then you would use the modem dial up connection.
: Yes, I want to connect to the alarm panel on a remote site, but problem with holding link after connection occurs, I don't have MD-12 modem, but my modem is Bell 103 compatible
opppsss, some how i thought you were trying to direct connect?
once you have opened DLS2002
press F12
Select outgoing tab
select properties
select auto detect for modem speed
speaker on until connection
select connection tab
disable dial and busy tone detection
or
at general tab
press add
and try to add what ever modem you are using if its not already there, in windows set the speed of your modem to "only connect at this speed" to 300 baud
hope that helps, unless you have the wrong panel ID and password/access codes??????
